This piece is unique and handmade. I made it in my studio in the southern part of Spain, 5 kilometer inland. Originally I am from the Netherlands and a few years ago I decided to move to Spain, where I built my studio.
This piece is made of stoneware and built in a 3-4 weeks, everyday a little part. Then the outside layer was constructed, shaped and cared for everyday to get this form. It was fired at 1050C and then glazed and fired at 1220C.
I hope this pieces stays for a life time and spread it's message with its unique form and subtile colours. The message of uniqueness, this old ancient process, building with hand in this fast crazy world. The sense we have to do it differently, slowing down and encourage you to take care of your environment. It is there to remember you everyday that you can do it differently.
Clean it by just wiping it with a wet cloth.
You can use it for flowers but it can be a bit damp underneath, it is tested on leaking.
