Handle & Care

My ceramics are made of stoneware or porcelain. Both durable materials and last for years. I want to encourage you to use following the instructions.

Sculpture pieces

The sculptural pieces should washed by hand or wiped off with a damp cloth. You can use a mild detergent. Everything that is glazed always have the glaze removed from the surface that touches the kiln shelves, otherwise the piece got stuck to the shelf.

This means that some products have a rough surface on the bottom, these are sanded but still may cause scratches. To protect surfaces I recommend sticking protecting furniture pods underneath of rubber or cork.

The non-glazed sculptural pieces can be cleaned with a damp cloth or with a bit of water.

You can use sculptural pieces as vases for flower. sBe aware there can be damp beneath the surface. The pieces are fired at 1250°C, but still can leak a bit of damp.

Tableware

My tableware is made of porcelain or stoneware, fired to 1280°C. They are dishwasher- and foodsafe. But strong detergents can damage the glaze. So the best for the product is to wash them by hand. The glaze surface can crack the piece or leave cutlery marks on the surfaces.
